A strategic partnership between Bishopdale College and More Than Music Mentor allows students studying the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies (Christian Leadership) to undertake an internship with a focus on music leadership as an expression of worship.

Students accepted into this music focused internship will be supported in way appropriate to their needs by Grant Norsworthy as their ‘specific skills mentor’. Typically, students will have a supervised position at a church with some responsibilities for the musical component of Sunday services. Throughout the year, students will benefit from regular contact and targeted instruction from Grant - arrangements will be negotiated between the church, the student, and More than Music. Specific instruction could include a range of musical, technical, leadership, communication, or spiritual/theological training.

Grant is the founder, content developer and principal instructor for More Than Music Mentor – a Nelson-based, globally active organisation providing training for the heart and the art of worshipping musicians. An Aussie based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA from 2002 to 2018, Grant achieved considerable success as a professional CCM musician - including a Grammy® nomination, a Dove Award, extensive touring, recording and radio hits with bands like PC3 (Paul Colman Trio) and the “forefathers of the modern worship revival” Sonicflood.

Since 2008, Grant has served the Christian Church as an itinerant speaker, musician and instructor across denominational and cultural boundaries. He has spoken and sung in over 20 countries across 5 continents - and extensively throughout the USA - at Church services, conferences, festivals, colleges, youth events and more. A frequent writer for some of the world’s most widely read Christian music publications, and a prominent instructional video presenter, Grant is recognised by many as a voice of authority on Christian worship and Church music.

Since 2019, Grant conducts global ministry work from his Nelson, New Zealand home base where he lives with his Kiwi wife Brooke and their three sons Max, Marcus and Casper.
